use fresh blood orange puree to give it a touch of tartness. The
addition of Campari also keeps it from getting too cloying,
adding a layer of bitterness without overpowering the drink
Ingredients
2 oz. blood orange puree
Splash of Campari
Splash of Simple Syrup (for recipe)
4 oz. chilled champagne (or sparkling wine)
1 blood orange half-wheel, for garnish
Directions
- Pour the blood orange puree, Campari, Simple Syrup, andthe champagne into a mixing glass.
- Stir gently with a bar spoon and pour unstrained into achilled champagne flute.
- Garnish with a blood orange half-wheel.
